1973 VW CAMPER LHD FULLY RESTORED TO CONCOURS LEVEL

Absolutely stunning VW Camper presented in concours condition. Rich candy red over ivory cream with contrasting biscuit leather interior and a factory sunroof. This van is truly in a class of its own and has to be seen to be fully appreciated. The subject of the most meticulous and impeccable restoration by MLT of Dorking who have over 35 years of experience with air cooled restorations, with everything sourced and built to the highest of standards with no expense spared.

The body was stripped and sandblasted inside and out in preparation for the gorgeous paintwork by Calbrook Coachworks. The engine has been completely rebuilt with new high lift camshaft fitted for vastly improved low end torque and power combined with a new twin choke weber carburettor and a brand new Vintage Speed stainless steel exhaust system all cooled with a fan assisted oil cooler. A complete new wiring harness was fitted along with a 240 volt hook up for camping. The Factory sunroof which really sets this van apart has all new cables and gears enabling seamless operation. All interior fixtures and fittings are of the highest quality with reconstituted leather used throughout the complete re trim to include a Rusty Lee full width Rock and Roll bed with storage under. Brand new cabinets housing sink, gas cooker and a 240/12 volt fridge. A Vintage Speed gear lever, Banjo steering wheel and digital gauges for oil pressure, oil temperature and cylinder head temperature adorn the drivers area along with a Sony DAB CD player with a Sony bass box cleverly concealed in the spare wheel area. Five new Hankook tyres. One key fits all locks system with Three spares included.
